If this happens to you, you can make the replacements without paying a person to do it. All you need to do is get replacement parts and follow the steps below.
- Step 1. Remove the two Pentalobe screws. Start with powering off the iPhone because you don’t need it on when disassembling it. Use the screwdriver to remove the pentalobe screws located next to the lightning connector. The screws hold together the screen and the back casing.

Cracked screens can be hard to pull, but you can hold them together using a strong tape then attach the suction cup to pull.

- Step 2. Attach the screen to the suction cup. Hold the suction cup by the handle and press it against the screen just above the iPhone’s home button. Placement is very important to ensure you get a tight seal for easy removal. If the screen is cracked, you can cover it with some tape to hold it together before using the suction cup on it.

After that, remove the suction cup from the separated screen.
- Step 4. Open up the phone. Open the iPhone to a 90-degree angle, separating all the clips carefully.
- Step 5. Remove the different connectors in the back casing. There are many connectors you need to remove carefully. Start with removing the battery connector bracket, then the battery connector, followed by the camera cables and home button cables. The final step should be disconnecting the display data cable and digitizer and separating the back panel from the screen.
- Step 6. Removing and replacing the battery. Peel the adhesive strips on the bottom part of the battery, and if it is still stuck, heat the back panel with a hair drier, and the battery will just peel off. Finally, you can take your new battery and fit it in gently and assemble all the parts. Charge fully before use.
