Important Notes

• LCD only — digitiser glass not included. The iPad 7/8/9 use a separate touch digitiser glass on top of the LCD. This listing is for the LCD panel only. If the customer's digitiser glass is also damaged, source the digitiser separately. Most "broken iPad screen" jobs require both LCD and digitiser, so check carefully before ordering this LCD-only part.
• True Tone (iPad 9 only): the iPad 9 supports True Tone display calibration; iPad 7 and iPad 8 do not. After fitment on an iPad 9, True Tone may not function unless the original True Tone data has been transferred via a programming tool. Brightness and auto-brightness will work normally; only the adaptive colour temperature is affected.
• Touch ID is not affected: on all three iPad generations, Touch ID is integrated into the Home button (separate hardware) and is unaffected by LCD replacement.
• No Apple software pairing warning: these iPads predate Apple's Parts & Service History notification system for displays. No "Unknown Part" or similar message will appear after fitment.
• Disconnect and isolate the LCD flex before fitting: the LCD flex cable on these iPads is fragile and easily torn during reseating. Use plastic tools, avoid pressure on the flex, and confirm clean connector seating before powering on.
• Bench-test before final fitment: connect the LCD to the mainboard with the digitiser also connected, and verify full display function (no dead pixels, full backlight, correct colours) before sealing the iPad.
• Inspect for damage on arrival: check the LCD for shipping damage, edge cracks or flex cable bend before installation.
• Installation should be carried out by a qualified technician using suitable separation tools and ESD-safe handling to avoid damage to the LCD, flex cable or logic board.
