Important Notes

• Face ID will break with a straight swap. This flex is part of the iPhone 12 / 12 Pro TrueDepth system and is paired to the device's original logic board. Fitting a reclaimed flex from another donor device will disable Face ID on the recipient device.
• Microsoldering required to retain Face ID. The TrueDepth pairing IC must be transferred from the customer's original flex onto the reclaimed flex by an experienced microsolder technician. Without this transfer, Face ID cannot be restored.
• No software fix is available. Apple's Repair Assistant, third-party pairing tools and iOS calibration routines cannot restore Face ID for this part. This applies to all iOS versions, including iOS 26 and iOS 26.1.
• Parts & Service History entry: the device may display a notification under Settings → General → About → Parts & Service History indicating a non-original part. This is informational and does not affect earpiece, proximity or ambient light function.
• Bench-test before final fitment: connect and verify earpiece audio, proximity sensor response and ambient light behaviour before sealing the device.
• Installation should be carried out by a qualified technician using suitable heat, separation and ESD-safe tools to avoid damage to the chassis, flex cables or logic board.
