This piece is the plastic surrounding that securely holds the iPhone 8 Ambient Light Sensor and Front Facing Camera into place when connected inside the LCD. If yours has been lost or damaged, the front camera and the flex will not stay in place correctly and can cause issues with the workings of this flex, as well as potentially damage it. If this has happened to you, the flex will need to be replaced, fortunately we also stock these here.
