• True Tone on iOS 18.1+: True Tone is supported and restores automatically on iOS 18.1 and later after fitment. On earlier iOS versions a True Tone programmer may be required.
• Important Display Message: like all non-genuine displays on iPhone 13 and later, the device may show a parts-pairing "Important Display Message" notification after fitment. This does not affect display function. Transferring the original display IC to the iP9 assembly (IC-transfer ready) helps retain authentication and reduce this message.
• Apple Repair Assistant: after fitting, True Tone and auto-brightness may require calibration. On genuine-paired repairs this is done via Apple's Repair Assistant; on aftermarket displays True Tone is handled by the panel's calibration and iOS 18.1+ behaviour described above.
• Soft OLED handling: Soft OLED panels are flexible and more delicate than hard OLED. Do not over-bend, press the panel face, or apply localised pressure during fitment. Use a heat plate and even pressure.
• Ultra-thin chassis: the iPhone Air is the thinnest iPhone ever, leaving very little margin during display work. Take extra care separating and seating the display so as not to flex the frame or panel.
• Full-size camera cutout: this panel is made with the full-size camera hole to match the original Center Stage front camera and Face ID array. Verify the cutout aligns with the device's TrueDepth components during fitment so Face ID and the front camera seat correctly.
• Disconnect the battery before fitment to prevent short circuits across the display flex connectors. Drain the battery below 25% before starting, as a damaged charged cell can ignite.
• Replacement adhesive required: fit fresh display adhesive to secure the assembly and restore water resistance.
• Bench-test before sealing: verify display output, 120Hz operation, touch response, True Tone, and Face ID before sealing the device.
• Installation should be carried out by a qualified technician using suitable heat, separation, and ESD-safe tools.
