Can an iPod Battery be Replaced?
It is possible to replace the battery in an iPod, however, since the iPod battery is wired into the logic board it is a relatively complex job.
The complexity of the job will depend on the type of device that you have. The Nano and Touch will both require some soldering work as a part of the battery replacement process and the front of the Touch can be tricky to remove. We recommend purchasing the correct tools before you attempt the job.
Can An iPod Screen part be Repaired?
The screens on the iPod Touch may become cracked or damaged if the device is dropped. The good news is that it is possible to repair the screen, with the correct tools and kit. We stock replacement screens, digitizers and screen assemblies for the 4th generation and newer iPods, as well as replacement cameras, charge cables and wifi antenna.
If you decide to attempt to replace the screen, make sure that you do so in a clean, dust free and dry environment. Ideally, your work area should be well-lit but not in direct sunlight. Make sure you have all of the correct tools before you start the job, and take care to secure the screen in place properly with the adhesive supplied in the kit, to prevent dust from getting into the screen assembly.
