The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro launched on 4 March 2025 at £449, alongside the standard (3a) at £329. The Pro is a camera-focused variant rather than a wholesale upgrade — it shares the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, the 6.77-inch 120Hz display and the 5000mAh battery with its sibling, and puts the £120 price difference into imaging hardware.
That architecture is genuinely convenient for repair workshops. The two devices share enough that a shop supporting the (3a) is most of the way to supporting the Pro, without doubling stock holding. The exception is camera hardware, which is where the entire Pro premium sits and where nothing carries over.
Replacement Components UK
The Pro is distinguishable from the standard (3a) primarily by the rear camera module. Beyond that, check the model number in Android Settings under About phone before ordering any camera-related part. Model codes are also printed on retail packaging and on regulatory markings inside the chassis. Where a customer has brought in a device without packaging, our technical team can confirm the variant from the IMEI.

Screen Replacement
Screen damage from drops is the dominant repair, as on the standard (3a). The 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED assembly is shared with the standard variant in most sourcing, meaning one screen line covers both devices. This is the main stock efficiency available across the (3a) generation — worth confirming on each supplier batch rather than assuming permanently, but it has held consistently so far.
Battery Replacement
The Pro uses the same 5000mAh cell as the standard (3a) with equivalent 45W wired charging. Battery service follows the same procedure and the same timeline — devices from the March 2025 launch are approaching the point where accumulated charge cycles produce noticeable degradation. Fast charging at 45W accelerates this relative to slower charging, so heavy users present earlier than the two-year rule of thumb.
Charging Port Repair
USB-C port failure presents identically to the standard (3a). The 45W specification means these ports carry meaningful current, and thermal cycling contributes to contact degradation alongside mechanical wear from cable insertion. Port assemblies are generally cross-compatible between (3a) variants, but verify before ordering.
Camera Modules — The Pro-Specific Category
This is where the (3a) Pro diverges entirely. The Pro's camera hardware is the reason the device exists and the reason it costs £120 more than the standard (3a), and none of it is interchangeable with the standard variant. Ordering a standard (3a) camera module for a Pro is the most common and most expensive mistake on this device pair. Confirm the variant before ordering anything camera-related, without exception.
Rear Panel and Glyph Interface
The Pro shares the (3a) chassis design with the Glyph interface surrounding the camera module. The rear panel differs where it accommodates the Pro camera hardware, so panels are not automatically interchangeable between variants despite the broadly shared design. As with every Nothing device, the transparent construction leaves internal finish visible to the customer, so adhesive cleanup and bracket alignment matter more than on a conventional rebuild.
Replacement Components UK
At £449 launch pricing, the (3a) Pro sits above the threshold where customers write off damage rather than repairing it. Screen and battery work on this device gets authorised readily. Camera repairs are the interesting case — a customer who paid the Pro premium specifically for imaging will authorise camera module replacement where a standard (3a) owner might live with a degraded camera. That makes camera parts availability commercially worthwhile on this variant in a way it is not on the standard model.
Replacement Components UK
Pro variants are consistently the gap in UK parts availability — suppliers stock the volume model and leave the premium variant uncovered, which means international sourcing and a fortnight of lead time on a customer who paid a premium and expects better. iParts4U holds UK stock across both (3a) variants including the Pro-specific camera hardware. Trade accounts give repair shops volume pricing and priority on incoming inventory.
