Important Notes

• Replace the back cover adhesive during fitment for a secure long-term bond. We stock a matching Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) battery door adhesive for the A720 chassis. We do not currently stock a J7 (2017) specific battery door adhesive — sourced separately if required.
• Use moderate heat to soften old adhesive for safe removal of the back cover, then clean all residue from the chassis with isopropyl alcohol before fitting the new cell.
• NEVER use heat on a swollen battery — heat can cause thermal runaway and rapid expansion. If the original battery is swollen, apply isopropyl alcohol around the edges and gently leverage the cell out with plastic tools only.
• Battery health reporting: on Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) and J7 (2017) — both running older Android versions — there is no native battery health percentage display (Samsung introduced this in later One UI versions). The new battery will simply function as the original.
• Calibration: after fitment, fully discharge the battery to below 5%, then charge uninterrupted to 100% to allow Android to calibrate state-of-charge reporting. For ongoing health, run at least one full charge cycle per month.
• Bench-test before final fitment: connect the battery to the mainboard and verify clean boot, normal voltage at rest (3.7–4.2V), charging behaviour and absence of any error messages before sealing the device.
• Installation should be carried out by a qualified technician using suitable heat, separation, isopropyl alcohol and ESD-safe tools to avoid damage to the chassis, flex cables or logic board.
