Choose Your Samsung Charging Port Grade
The charging port — also called the charging flex or USB-C dock flex — is the assembly at the bottom of the device that carries the USB-C connector, the bottom microphone, and on many models the antenna interconnect contacts. On A series and value-tier Galaxy models the flex also frequently integrates the SIM card reader and a secondary microphone, so a single flex replacement can resolve several apparently separate faults at once. Charging faults are one of the highest-volume repairs any Samsung-focused workshop handles, behind only screens and batteries.

Fitting Notes for Trade
The charging port flex is supplied as a complete plug-and-play part, so no micro-soldering is required for trade fitment on the vast majority of Samsung models. A competent technician can complete the procedure in 45 to 60 minutes including post-fit testing of charging speed, data transfer, microphone function and cellular signal. On water-resistant flagship models, fitting means releasing the back cover with controlled heat, replacing the flex, then applying fresh adhesive to restore the seal as closely as practical. As with all heat work, never apply heat to a device with a swollen battery. The most common post-repair fault is microphone failure caused by the flex connector not being fully seated on the logic board — re-check connector seating and bracket alignment before assuming the new flex is defective.
