Samsung J3 Features
The Samsung J3 is at the low-end of the J series, but it's not far off from the other models. It has a 5-inch AMOLED display that supports 720p resolution. Its screen and design are very similar to high-end Galaxy devices from only a few years ago. It uses the traditional physical home button, sturdy plastic casing, and a faux metal back. It also still has a removable battery, which makes it easier to replace if needed.
On the inside is a quad-core processor at 1.3 GHz. It also has 1.5 GB of RAM available. These specs and the low price point made this a popular budget gaming phone. The Samsung J3 is capable of handling many modern Android games and is still capable of running the latest Android operating system. Overall, it was a budget-friendly smartphone with a few high-end features. It's no surprise that it was an incredibly popular purchase in many countries and remains so today. However, how easy or otherwise is it to repair?
No. The Samsung J3 is a budget-friendly phone and this trickles down to its various components. Replacing the screen of the J3 would cost less than replacing the phone itself. It is certainly more affordable than upgrading to a newer device. We carry the complete LCD screen replacement kit. Our affordable, warranty-backed replacement screen kits are available in multiple colours to match that of your device.
Yes. Replacement of the J3 battery is a very easy and affordable process. The J3 is one of the few remaining devices that has an easily removable back casing. You won't need a screwdriver or special tools. We carry the replacement batteries you'll need to make the swap. Once your new battery arrives you can replace the old one in a matter of seconds.
Not easily. The Samsung J3 took a lot of extra steps to lower costs. One way they accomplished this is by keeping the number of additional components and cables to a minimum. Many components are soldered directly to the phone's main circuit board. This includes the various components in the charging unit. It may be possible to replace the micro USB attachment on the circuit board, but it would require extensive skill with a soldering iron and it would the run the risk of damaging the rest of the phone.
